Garden Oak Holiday Lights

2019 was our final season. Thanks to everyone who came by to enjoy the display. This page is dedic The LED lights we are using are individually controlled lights.

We feature a display of Christmas lights synchronized to holiday music. In 2012 we had 7300 traditional Christmas lights and almost 1400 LED lights outlining the house. All of this is controlled by a computer systems switching 4140 channels of electricity. For the 2013 season, we are added 14,820 channels for a total of 18,960 channels. In terms of lights, 6320 LED RGB lights and 7300 traditional

Christmas lights. As of 2015, we over 12,000 LED RGB Pixels controlled through almost 40,000 channels. We can make each and every LED it's own color. As you will see in our display, we can sweep color across the house or make patterns that will be unique to most other displays that can only flash or dim the lights of the same color. As announced last year, 2019 was out last season. Little did we know that COVID would also mean our final season. We have decided to no longer pursue funding for the new display we were hoping to build as we feel companies should be focusing on their employees and providing them income. We would like to thank all our fans over the years who came by and who also donated - we raised a combined yearly total of over $32,600 for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Great job everyone!

We need your help. We are producing videos as part of our fundraising campaign with different topics. One that we are about to shoot is related to the positive impact our display has had on you or your family.

Over the years, we have heard many stories from our guests about how our display gave them a "break" from the real world before going back to care for a loved one, a single mom who wanted to do something free for her kids related to Christmas, or a family who recently lost the "family corner stone" and were surprisingly in the Christmas spirit after stopping by. We want to put these stories into a video collage to help donors and sponsors understand there is more to our display than "the numbers".

Would you please PM us if you are interested in sharing how our display impacted you or your family. We would like to interview you first over the phone and then we will set a time to meet and hear your story to share.

This could be your way in helping us with the building of our new display....and it will only cost a little time from you, but it could be a big impact to us.

The final numbers are in. This year we collected $4,813 for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Even with the season cut short, we had a great response from everyone.

Our 8 year totals....we raised $32,689.68 from 38,438 people who traveled in 11,379 vehicles to our display. Thank You!

Last night was our last night for the display at our home. We would like to thank everyone who came by in the pouring rain last night to catch the last shows.

Many of you have asked about how you can help with our new venue. There are two ways:

This Sunday, December 22, will be the last night for Garden Oak Holiday Lights. If you have been a fan for years or have never seen our display, come on out and catch it before it is too late. Lights turn on at 6:00 each night and will run until 9:00 tonight and 10:00 for the weekend.

Our display is a synchronized lighting display to music. Watch from the comfort of your car.

Bleachers were delivered yesterday. Between now and our last night, December 22, you will have two options to see the light show. Drive and watch from the comfort of your car or park and walk to the display. Please see one of our traffic volunteers to help you park so you do not block traffic.

It is with a heavy heart that we need to announce that, because of situations beyond our control, we will be ending our season early. Sunday, Dec. 22 will be our last night. We wanted to announce this to our fans early enough so you can adjust your family traditions. Between now and Dec. 22, our schedule remains the same. 6 to 9 on school nights and 6 to 10 on non-school nights.
