Two local business closing that we here at Game Pros are very sad to see go.
I'm now 31 years old and have started taking the young children in my family to both of these places. We had a birthday party at cool crest not long ago.
Cool crest has had it's up's and downs throughout the years but within the last few years the arcade has been really good, most of the games got switched out with completely new stuff in the last year or so. Cool crest was the only arcade around that I'm aware of that still used tokens and gave out actual tickets, modern arcades have been using debit cards and virtual points.
I spent alot of time in funhouse pizza on 40hwy as a kid, I was a master of the claw machine they used to have. My parents would have a few pitchers of an adult beverage and get me and my sister a couple pitchers of Dr. Pepper. The combo pizza is the only pizza I think we ever got. I was so good at the claw machine that the other kids and adults in the building would ask me to win them things like playing cards and dice so they could play while they ate pizza.
Both of these are long term businesses that severed multiple generations of customers. They are each closing for their own reasons but still both sad. This is a good reminder to go out and see the places/businesses/people you love before they are gone and relegated to only memories.
Goodbye to those places and I wish the best for all the people involved with them. Hopefully they return one day.
As for us, we know you're all waiting for news of when we will re-open and believe me I hope it's soon. We're still waiting on a few things from the city but hopefully it gets done quick and we can see you all again!
