Join us for the 5th Annual North Coast Dance Festival, a spectacular celebration of dance!

Professional dancers from across the country will gather alongside the NMU CO/LAB Dance Company for engaging educational experiences and mesmerizing performances. Don't miss this unforgettable event filled with grace, talent, and artistry. We are thrilled to welcome back Giordano Dance Chicago, who will be performing two dynamic concert jazz pieces, Dumb Luck! (musical theatre) and Sabroso (ballroom), and professional ballet dancers, Julia Feldman and Mate Szentes.

The Tony Awards are on tonight! Hey all you ICSPA students and future students....Dream Big and then WORK to make it happen!

Tonight, Broadway takes center stage. As we celebrate the Tony Awards, we also celebrate the theatre teachers, students, troupes, and school programs where so many Broadway dreams first begin. To every Thespian watching tonight: keep creating, keep learning, keep showing up, and keep telling stories that matter. The future of theatre is already in rehearsal.

🏆✨ STATEWIDE RECOGNITION FOR ICSPA! ✨🏆

The Imlay City Schools Performing Arts program is celebrating an incredible milestone after receiving prestigious recognition through Michigan's Sutton Foster Awards program!

🎭 In our FIRST year participating, ICSPA earned:
⭐ Four acting nominations across two productions
⭐ Two students selected to perform at the Sutton Foster Awards Showcase at the Wharton Center
⭐ Outstanding Achievement Honors in FOUR production categories for Chicago Teen Edition:

• Direction
• Choreography
• Costume Design
• Lighting Design

Out of approximately 95 productions adjudicated statewide, only TWO performers may be nominated from each production.

🌟 Griffyn Fenner - LHS (Billy Flynn, Chicago: Teen Edition)

🌟 Lauryn Stanhope - LHS (Miss Hannigan, Annie)

A special congratulations to Nevaeh, a sophomore at ICHS and Griffyn a LHS sophomore, who represented ICSPA (and Lapeer Performing Arts) on the Wharton Center stage and were featured as soloists during the Sutton Foster Awards Showcase. Even more impressive, both students accomplished this as sophomores!

As one of only THREE Michigan Department of Education-approved CTE Performing Arts programs and currently completing just our fourth year as a program, this recognition is especially meaningful. ICSPA was honored alongside some of Michigan's largest, most established, and most respected theatre programs.

We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, volunteers, families, and community supporters whose commitment to excellence made this achievement possible.

Our theatre, musical theatre and dance programs are fully authorized Career & Technical Education programs! That means your student can complete 2-4 years of high school concentrated coursework in our Performing Arts courses and become eligible for college credits at Northern Michigan University. Two incredible ICSPA seniors are taking the next step in their artistic journeys! 🎭✨

Congratulations to Olivia Atkinson and Addy Tomhave on continuing their education in the performing arts next fall.

Olivia will attend Oakland University to pursue a BFA while also studying sonography, and Addy will attend DePaul University to study Film & Television in the prestigious Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media.

Through theatre, musical theatre, dance, leadership opportunities, performances, collaboration, and the lifelong friendships built within the ICSPA family, these young artists have grown into confident storytellers and creators ready to take on the next chapter.

We are so proud of the boldness, creativity, humor, heart, and passion these two have brought to our program. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning. 🎭🎶
