Youth Actor's Workshop Ilion Little Theatre

Good evening,
I am excited to reach out to you all and let you know that Ilion's Youth Actors Summer Workshop will be back again this year. We have had to make a few changes as far as the time frame that we plan on running it. We will be able to start using the theater after June 12, 2023, and will be finishing off with the performance scheduled for July 27 and 28, 2023. I am looking to get a preliminary head count on what young actors will be returning. I have scheduled an informational meeting for parents (and actors) on June 15, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Ilion Little Theater. If for some reason you are unable to attend, please reach out to me as soon as possible to arrange for any missed information. I am looking forward to working with all of your incredible children. So excited to share our beautiful poster from this past summer’s YAW production, Beauty Is a Beast. which was inspired by the prgram cover that our YAW performer, Garrett Knowles illustrated and was created by our graphic design artist, Steve Wagner. Thank you, both-it is perfect! It will be on display at the Ilion Little Theatre once it is framed.

Congratulations to the YAW members and all the chamber singers who did an outstanding job at CVA’s Cabaret tonight!
They are performing tomorrow night at 7:30 as well. I highly recommend that you check it out!! Bravo 👏 👏👏

It was truly an honor to work with such a fine group of dedicated, enthusiastic, and very talented actors and artists.
Many thanks to our volunteers and gracious donors who helped make our show a tremendous success!
We’re so very proud of each and every one of our youth actors!
Wishing you a great rest of summer and a fantastic school year!

I would like to start by saying, I am very fortunate and grateful to be given the opportunity to co-direct all while working alongside an AMAZING human being. We are both very excited to embark on this great adventure and can’t wait to meet everyone. There is plenty of time to sign up, and I know there is a ton of talent within our community.

For those who are interested in participating in this year’s program, the production (for which we are awaiting Board approval) will be Thur, Aug. 11 and Fri, Aug 12 in the evening.
Rehearsals will take place during the week from 6:30-8:30 pm. We will meet 2-3x per week.
There will be an informational meeting at Ilion Little Theatre on Mon, June 27. Hope to see you there!

I know because of COVID YAW has been put off for 2 summers. Now the theater that sponsored the program needs some major repairs. If anyone can help there's a gofund me page set up.

The Ilion Little Theatre, located behind the Re*****on Arms manufacturing plant, has been entertaining area residents for nearly 100 years.
