Spare Room Press Artisan letterpress printing and custom bookbinding. We offer bespoke social stationary for special events and have several lines of standard stationary items.

Since 1998 we have been working with original 19th century letterpress equipment and modern tools to create unique letterpressed items. Our letterpress services include artisan printing on a rare 1887 Dorman Eclipse platten jobber press. We also work with traditional bookbinding techniques to create traditionally styled books or with modern and unique materials for unique books.

Some lovely strokes of a mid century font all mashed up. Those who attended Artwalk tonight will have seen the process of custom mixed ink, the auditory experience of ink on the rollers, creation of lovely impressions, and the beautiful clanking of our 139 year old printing press. 250 years ago this famous document helped define foundational ideals of the new United States. As we celebrate America 250 it is critical we remember and recommit to the ideals embodied in the text of this document.

Tonight at the Idaho Falls Art Walk we have a modern replica of this document. The replica was meticulously researched, paper made by hand, type hand set and then letterpressed to match in the most minute details. Come see this modern letterpress creation that truly honors the craft in both material and language of this foundational document.
