Question: Is it time to toss CDs and go with digital only distribution now? Nothing beats having that hot off the press CD in your hand after spending so much time and money on a project. BUT in the end is it worth having 500 CDs sitting on your shelf? From our experience it seems that after an initial release that 90% of your projected CD sales will be sold in the first 3 months. After that expect slim CD sales and a hard to move inventory to be left behind. So.. if you choose a full CD package we recommend to order no more than 300 CDs (replication minimum) and push the digital distro option. The end goal for any serious musician should be the goal of making a living at performing and selling music. It's getting so hard anymore to get anyone to buy music now a days (Even U2 gave away their last album on iTunes). So when the venues die out and with fewer and fewer people actually buying music anymore, are the days of making a living in music now dead? Please let us know about your thoughts on where you think the music biz is currently heading. Do you still buy CDs today? Do you support your local music scene? Is there a local music scene? Nuff Said.

Just found out that old man Hawn died last week. Hyrum City will be tarring down the old bar to make way for city office buildings. Many a gig has been played in that old place. Will be strange to see it gone. R.I.P Mr Hawn.
