📣 Hello ! This week’s spotlight shines on the adorable and incredibly talented Sherlicia Cariolet, who is currently bringing the house down in Beehive the Musical.

✨️It’s closing weekend and seats are limited — so don’t wait. 👀✨

Q: So… have you basically been performing since birth?

🎭 Born and raised in New York City, I’ve spent my entire life performing. I started dancing at four and by thirteen was pursuing musical theatre professionally, quickly falling in love with the storytelling and connection it creates.

Q: Who inspired you to take up space on stage?

🎭 Growing up in such a diverse environment, I was inspired by performers stepping into roles beyond what they were originally written for. I hope to be that same reminder for the next generation. There is space for you on any stage, no matter your background.

Q: Where can we catch you shining these days?

🎭 Austin credits include White Christmas at The Georgetown Palace (Judy Haynes), Bring It On at Zilker (Nautica), and currently Beehive at TexArts where I get to sing iconic 1960s music made famous by Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner.

✨ Artist Spotlight ✨

Hello, ! It’s been a minute since our last Artist Spotlight, and today we’re thrilled to feature the incredibly talented Dashon King. Catch Dashon alongside an amazing cast in Fences by August Wilson, directed by Dr. Kerry Ann Zamore, this Valentine’s weekend — February 13–15 — at 🎭

Dashon King is a 30-year-old performer based in Temple, Texas, originally from Colorado. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and has worked in radio, sports announcing, voiceovers, and storytelling.

Dashon began his stage career at Temple Civic Theatre at age 25 and has been actively involved ever since, contributing to over ten productions both onstage and behind the scenes—as an actor, usher, and crew member.

In Fences, Dashon portrays Gabriel, a war veteran with a metal plate in his head who fiercely believes it is his duty to protect his older brother, Troy. Gabriel also shares a close bond with his sister-in-law, Rose, and his nephew, Lyons.

This role is especially meaningful to Dashon, who is autistic and was diagnosed in early childhood and again at age eleven. He connects deeply with Gabriel’s spirit—living life fully, striving to bring joy to others, and pursuing his dreams one day at a time.

🎟️ Don’t miss this powerful performance!

📣 Hey # ! With just two weekends left of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at The Georgetown Palace, we’re dishing up a spotlight on the sweet and talented Niona Garfield. Not only does she shine on stage, but she also spoils the cast with her delicious homemade baked treats — a star both under the lights and in the kitchen!

🎭 Niona is delighted to appear as Janelle, a member of the Shirelles and Ensemble in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Though she has no formal theatre training, Niona has been performing since the age of 11, appearing as an ensemble member and featured dancer in productions such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, James and the Giant Peach, and Annie.

🎶 Bringing the story of The Shirelles to life has been an incredible honor for Niona. She feels privileged to help share such an impactful story while embodying one of music’s most iconic groups—a role she has found both meaningful and fun.

🧁 Homeschooled for much of her education, Niona embraced creativity in her daily life, a foundation that continues to shape her as a performer. Outside of theatre, she enjoys baking, playing cozy video games, and spending time with her cat, Mallow.

📣 Hello !
This week, we're thrilled to shine the spotlight on the talented Evan Jackson, making a triumphant return to the stage as a Drifter and member of the Ensemble in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Catch him lighting up the stage now through August 31st at .

🏆Evan was born and raised in Grapevine, Texas, and through his love of singing in choir, he auditioned for school musicals and landed a role as Fred Casely in “Chicago.” He also performed at Ft. Worth’s Casa Manana and participated in the summer production of “Sideshow” in the ensemble. He spent the next 2 years attending college at Houston Baptist University and sang in the university choir going on tour all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Evan finished his degree at Texas State University and is proud to call central Texas his new home. Eat ‘em up!

🎭 After a good break of time away from the Arts, he decided to audition for the Georgetown Theatre's production of “Beautiful.” The opportunity to represent the Drifters really spoke to him and inspired him to jump back into the theatre. Even though the learning curve was steep in regard to becoming stage ready again, he found that the challenge was rewarding. As he was growing up it wasn’t super common to see himself reflected on stage, but coming back to it a decade later he’s thrilled to see so many opportunities for people like him and he hopes he can inspire others to take those opportunities and run with it.

🏡 When not on the stage or rehearsing, he spends time with his wife Alexis and their two kids, who he hopes will chase their passion as they grow older. As a family, they spend hours every week singing and dancing to the latest Disney soundtrack and the occasional Broadway production.

📣 Happy Monday, ! Today's local artist spotlight shines on the charismatic and multi-talented AJ Reyes, someone I’ve loved following on social media. A true jack of all trades, AJ brings his incredible energy as Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, opening this Friday at The Georgetown Palace Theatre. Don’t miss it!"

🏆 An actor, singer, and stagehand in Austin, AJ spends his time bouncing from stage to screen to backstage. Moving from production to production is how he keeps himself happy and stressed. He’s been a performer his entire life, and in 2021, it became his primary source of income. He has been poor ever since.

🎭 Some of AJ’s stage credits include Wilbur in “Charlotte’s Web”; Chino in “West Side Story”; Purser in “Anything Goes”; and he went on in “Misery” as the Paul understudy this past October. Last year, AJ was the understudy or swing in several productions. He had never done either before, and he’d be fine never doing either again. Being a swing or an understudy is a lot of work, with very little recognition. Always, always, a.l.w.a.y.s. show swings and understudies the love and support they deserve. And if you get to see one perform, you can consider yourself incredibly lucky.

📽 In addition to getting paid for his time and energy, AJ is also really good at doing things that make no money. Like his successful podcast, “Can I Bother You?” which ran weekly for over a year, and his YouTube channel, where he has recently resumed posting videos. If you want to watch him have no idea what he’s doing, check it out! You can find AJ on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

🎟 Forum runs March 21- April 19. Visit for ticket info.
