Rascal R/C Speedway 2026/2027 Rules
General Rules -
Race Day Format - Each class has a $20 Entry Fee unless stated otherwise.
Heat Race - Only 1 round. Starting position determined by Bingo Balls or a random number generator.
B-Main - Bmains will be determined by how many entrants we have.
A-Mains - Starting position will be determined by Heat and B main Results.
Points -
Points will be awarded to your overall result on each event.
A- Mains -
1st - 100 Points + $30 to win Each Class.
2nd - 90 Points
3rd - 85 Points
(Points will drop Five Points per finishing position through the field)
Points will Sometimes be posted on the page.
ALL CARS FOR EVERY CLASS- Must have a visible, easy to read number on each side of the car.
Transponders-
All cars must have working Transponders.
NO Extensions. Transponders are to be plugged in Directly to your Receiver.
If your transponder is not working properly, and stops working - you will stop being scored. We do not have people count laps for you, or listen to “ I got second, I promise I got second”
It is Your responsibility to have your car working properly.
Misconduct-
Keep your cool. Not all racedays are going to go your way. If you cant control your temper, you will be asked to Leave, and possibly to not come back.
Rough Driving -
Just race clean. If you race people dirty, they will race you dirty back.
If it becomes an issue - Your car will be removed from the track surface. You will be disqualified from the event.
Corner Marshal -
Our goal is to have 4 corner marshals for each race. One located in Each corner.
It is important that Everyone does their part - At the completion of your race, it is Mandatory for racers to Corner Marshall in the following race. Failure to due so will result in a Disqualification of your previous race
Possible Exemptions to Corner Marshalling -
-Track Staffing needs are covered
-Mobility issues - You need to find a substitute marshal BEFORE your race so they are immediately ready to cover for you
-Driver is in Back to back races - You need to find a substitute marshal BEFORE your race so they are immediately ready to cover for you
If a driver has an exemption, or substitute marshal - they need to Report that to the race director before their race.
Electronics-
All classes are to use their stock Controllers. No aftermarket allowed.
Short Course Trucks are only allowed to use their respected manufactures brands EX: Traxxas Trucks must use Traxxas Products, Losi must use Losi, AARMA must use AARMA.
Batteries -
2s Only. No 3s.
No short batteries in 1/10 scale classes.
Protest -
If you believe you are being cheated by a competitor, you have the option to protest.
It is NOT anonymous, if you decide to tear someone down they will know who did it.
Only Driver, Tech official, and Driver protesting allowed in the Tech area. If you are not competing in the class, you are ineligible to protest.
Protest Procedure - Speak with the Tech official or Race director at any point of the event BEFORE the A-main. You must immediately pay, and tell what you want checked on their car.
Protest Fee - $25 Cash
Refusal- Driver will lose all current season points in EVERY class they are competing in.
Legal- Driver will receive the money from protest for inconvenience of having to put their car back together.
Illegal- Driver will be disqualified for the event in their protested class. Driver that declared the protest will recieve their money back.
Traxxas Modifieds-
The Traxxas Modified is to remain BOX STOCK
No aftermarket anything allowed. If it did not come in the box with it, That means it is NOT ALLOWED.
The body must be a Traxxas Modified body. You may cut, and trim within Reason. Please no “topless” race cars or anything silly.
May add a 1 inch spoiler to the rear of the deck lid.
Must run stock Springs and Shocks - NO SHOCK LIMITERS.
Must run stock Gear ratio
Must run Stock Body Mounts.
May change Shock Fluid
NO short Batteries
No Switching parts from side to side, or moving them in any way other than a stock location
No altering parts to make them more adjustable
Tires - May run any Short Course tire that matches the stock size of your modified tires. All (4) corners must have matching brand, model, and hardness level.
If we forgot to list anything, or if you have any questions on if you can run something please ask yourself “ Did it come with that part that I want to run?” if the answer is no - then it is NOT box stock.
Traxxas Late Models
The Traxxas Late Model is to remain BOX STOCK
No aftermarket anything allowed. If it did not come in the box with it, That means it is NOT ALLOWED.
The body must be a Traxxas Late Model body. You may cut, and trim within Reason. Please no “topless” race cars or anything silly.
May add a 1-1/2 inch spoiler to the rear of the deck lid.
No Short Batteries
Must run Stock Shocks.
Must run Stock Springs
Must run Stock Gear ratio
Must run Stock Body Mounts.

All variations of the Traxxas Slash will be allowed as long as it is still a Short Course Truck
NO Rally Cars in the truck class

Aarma Fury
Team Assocated PRO 2 and PRO 4 SCT Ready To Race out of the box
Red Cat Racing SC PRO 4x4 Ready to Race out of the box
Not Allowed -
Team Associated Kit Trucks 2wd or 4x4
Team Losi Racing Kit Trucks 2wd or 4x4
Tekno SCT 4x4 Truck Kit
Any Variation of a “Racing Truck Kit”
If it comes in a box, needs to be put together - Motor, ESC, other stuff sold separate - It probably belongs in this category
Bodys MUST look like a short course truck
Anything that we dont like, will be asked to be changed for the current event or not return to the following event. - Track Discretion
No widening kits, no narrowing kits. Must be stock Width.
Traxxas vehicles must use traxxas parts
Losi must use Losi parts
AARMA must use AARMA parts.
Lights and accessories are allowed. Make those trucks look cool.
Anything other that Traxxas and AARMA needs to be approved before competition.
Only Bash grade level trucks, No purpose built, or Race kit trucks.
2s Lipo batteries ONLY - No Shorties
Rally Cars -
Class is currently inactive - but we are saving the rules incase they return at some point.
BOX STOCK.
Must be Traxxas Rally car body
Must run Traxxas Rally car tires and wheels
NO Differential Upgrades

NASCAR -
Box Stock
Modern Nascar Cup Car bodys, or classic Nascar Car bodys only, asphalt late models.
No trucks, other cars, or Dirt late model bodys.
Bodys MUST have rear spoiler. Yes, The new clear bodys come with a spoiler in the bag.
Slick Tires only - Soft or Standard is fine
Stock ESC Spektrum 2 in 1.
Run a Y-Splitter so you can run your Fan and a Transponder. ( A-main or Hobbytown has them for about $7 )
Must run Spektrum Battery - 1400MAH 30C 2S 7.4V Part Number # SPMX142S30H2
Stock Steering Servo.
Stock Gears
Losi Sprint Cars -
Box Stock Sprint Cars
Must use Losi Sprint car Body. May NOT use Light weight Pro-Line Racing - PRO367400.
May Adjust wing forward and back
Must run Stock Springs
Must Run Stock Electronics
Must run BOX STOCK
Spektrum 3300Kv Motor
Stock Gearing
Allowed - Different Tie rods. The stock ones like to pop off during the race.
Losi Late Models -
Box Stock Late Models
Must Run Stock Gear Ration
Must Run Stock Springs
Must Run Stock Tires
Must run all stock electronics.
Do not alter, or change any parts from the car.
You can change the color of the body, wrap, and number but thats it.
Our Goal is to keep Racing as Affordable as we possibly can - that is why you will have probably noticed most of these rules are to keep classes mostly box stock. We do not allow fancy expensive Transmitters or anything that would potentially price people out of competition.
