Whether you’ve stopped by and purchased a jar of carefully chosen stems, strolled thru the rows of zinnias, cosmos and Mexican sunflowers, or just admired them from the road as you pass by I hope you have enjoyed this flower season at Davis Flower Farm. 🌼 Hoping for One Last Beautiful Bloom! 🌼🌻

Back in early August, I planted a late crop of sunflowers and calendula, hoping to squeeze just a little more beauty out of this growing season.

Since then, I’m not sure we’ve had a drop of rain here at the farm! But somehow, between the morning dew and a little determination, these beauties have continued to grow. Maybe not as quickly or as big as they should have, but that’s okay. There’s something special about watching something bloom against the odds. 🌼

Now we’re just hoping for a good soaking rain tomorrow, a little sunshine to follow, and for Jack Frost to hold off just a bit longer!🌻🌼
