Lone Star Subbuteo League

Lone Star Subbuteo League Lone Star Subbuteo League in Texas - Formed in 2007 Subbuteo is a game of miniature soccer.

It is played on a miniature pitch with miniature plastic men mounted on a rounded base. These figures are "flicked" around the field with one's index finger to pass or shoot the ball, and to put the figures into position. The game was first invented and popularized in England in the early to mid 1900's. It has since spread in popularity throughout Europe and the rest

elatively unknown in the U.S. The name itself comes from a bird of prey, the Hobby, whose scientific name is Falco Subbuteo.

A St Louis sweep of the Lone Star Shootout. Darren Koffman successfully defends his Shootout title, and takes home the Final Lone Star Winner’s Branding Iron, with Tim Boone taking the inaugural Longhorn Branding Iron runner-up trophy. The Drake takes the Mary Jane winner trophy.

Had a good time... first league meeting of the season tonight, we got to meet a few potential new league mates, who played as kids and are wanting to get back into the game. It was great showing them the new equipment and the rules. Fun night.

We didn't get any actual league matches in, but this was much better.

Looking forward to the Lone Star Shootout in a few weeks.
