Show off your artistic side and your patriotic pride!

The America250 Trash to Treasure Trash Can Decorating Contest is officially underway!

Stop by the SD State Fair office to sign up and pick up your trash can. Whether you're entering solo or with a group, we can’t wait to see how you turn trash into treasure!

Cans must be painted in red, white, and blue or other patriotic themes to help celebrate America250!

✨ Transform an ordinary trash can into a patriotic masterpiece celebrating America's 250th anniversary.
🏆 Cash prizes awarded to the Top 3 entries
🎡 All decorated cans will be displayed during the South Dakota State Fair

Join us September 3 at the SD State Fair for a celebration of the people and products that make SD agriculture so special. Share this with someone who loves supporting local!

Since Value Added Agriculture Development Center Day is on the first Thursday of September, we are going to give away a family four pack of daily gate admission passes on the first Thursday of each month leading up to the fair! Today marks the first Thursday of June!
