Congratulations to Patty & Rufus DeZeeuw, SD State Fair Open Class Sheep Superintendents, on receiving the 2026 SD Sheep Growers Association Shepherd’s Award!

2026 SDSGA Shepherd’s Award Winners — Patty & Rufus DeZeeuw

The South Dakota Sheep Growers Association is proud to recognize Patty and Rufus DeZeeuw as recipients of the Shepherd’s Award!

The Shepherd’s Award recognizes individuals whose dedication, service, and commitment have made a lasting contribution to South Dakota’s sheep industry. It celebrates the people who represent the values of good shepherding, not only through the care of their own flocks, but through their support of fellow producers, their communities, and the future of our industry.

Patty and Rufus exemplify that spirit, and we were honored to recognize them during the 2026 SDSGA Annual Convention.

Please join us in congratulating Patty & Rufus DeZeeuw on this well-deserved recognition!

🍀 Celebrating National 4-H Week! 🍀

This week, we celebrate the 4-H youth who bring energy, dedication, and pride to the South Dakota State Fair each year. 💚

The 4-H pledge reminds us what 4-H is all about:

“My head to clearer thinking,
my heart to greater loyalty,
my hands to larger service,
and my health to better living.”

We’re proud to celebrate the young people who live out these words through their hard work, leadership, service, and accomplishments.

Happy National 4-H Week! 🍀💚
