Jazz in the Park- Huntsville 2024 loading in 6 weeks! You don't want to miss it!
This was Huntsville’s first experience with jazz in the Park and founder and brother of Magic City Smooth Jazz, Bernard Lockhart. It was April 26, 2015 at Monte Sano State Park featuring headliner Dee Lucas and opening act, guitarist Roland Gresham. This event was the catalyst for Jazz in the Park- Huntsville.
Jazz in the Park- Huntsville was inspired on a Sunday night in April 2015 by a successful event at Monte Sano State Park featuring headliner, saxophonist Dee Lucas (and opening act, guitarist Roland Gresham). A small, but enthusiastic crowd impressed Magic City Smooth Jazz and Jazz in the Park founder Bernard Lockhart that his brand might have a home in Huntsville. We both left the event fired up about collaborating, and that would lead to the first Jazz in the Park- Huntsville event just four months later. More to come.

Final show for this season is Sunday, September 24 with headliner Ben Tankard, Marqueal Jordan and Angela Bryant in Big Spring Park East starting at 5 pm CST.

Jazz in the Garden, a scholarship fundraiser celebrating the 60th anniversary of Drake State Community & Technical College, was a nice tuneup for the return of Jazz in the Park- Huntsville this September 4! Congratulations Drake on your anniversary and a very successful event!
