In rich business families, children are born with a silver spoon in the mouth, but 8-year-old Ranvir Sachdeva seems to have been born with an "AI" spoon. At an age when most children are discovering cartoons, Ranvir stood as the youngest keynote speaker at the 2026 India AI Impact Summit, sharing the stage with global AI biggies such as Sam Altman (ChatGPT), Sundar Pichai (Google), Sriram Krishnan (AI Advisor to Trump), and many others.

Born in 2017 and raised in New Delhi, Ranvir studies at The Ardee School while pursuing interests far beyond his grade level. He is known to be exploring machine learning through online programs by Harvard University and has earned recognition in Responsible AI from Google. He also developed skills in Apple’s Swift programming language, prompting Apple CEO Tim Cook to invite him to the WWDC developer conference in 2023.

Ranvir shot to limelight first at six when he became one of the youngest TEDx speakers in Asia on technology and innovation. Since then, his journey has only accelerated. He has spoken at international platforms including the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva and at UN affiliated forums held during the United Nations General Assembly week in New York, confidently addressing different audience group.

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Ranvir's keynote beautifully connected ancient Indian philosophies with modern AI technologies, leaving the audience surprised and inspired. He is also a published author. His book, Are You Born With AI?, encourages children to see themselves not just as techies but as creators and responsible innovators. The message is simple yet powerful - age does not define impact.

8-year-old Ranvir proves that India has no dearth of talent in AI, while the US is the incubator for young AI entrepreneurs like Pranjali Awasthi (https://url-shortener.me/DJTO). Ranvir has built his own API-powered AI chatbot. His father, Gurjot Sachdeva, often speaks about nurturing his curiosity and encouraging him to explore technology with purpose and responsibility.

Dr. Athiray Panchapakesan at The University of Alabama in Huntsville has received a $1.27 million NASA grant to study solar flares, powerful eruptions on the Sun that can affect satellites, astronauts and even power grids on Earth.

Launching in 2026, this mission will use a special rocket-mounted instrument called MaGIXS to observe what happens after a solar flare, when the Sun begins to cool down. These never-before-seen observations will help scientists better predict space weather and protect technology we rely on every day.🛰️🌍

This exciting project continues UAH’s long-standing partnership with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and highlights the university’s leadership in space science and research.✨🔬

My latest column mounts a robust defence of the English language in India while rejecting the Macaulay mindset. We can use English to connect to the world while refusing to allow it to disconnect us from ourselves:
