Picture 1 - My closest friends have seen this infamous picture, but it’s about time yall do to. Every day after school I would get in the car and ask to put WDRM on. Dan wasn’t on in the afternoons, but I’d get to hear his promos and I loved telling people “I know him!” Plot twist, I only knew him because I basically stalked him at remotes 🤣

Picture 2 - in 2014 I was able to intern with Dan, and like I’ve said it was a turning point not only in my life but in my career. I’ll forever be in debt to him. This was the last day of my internship when I didn’t know what would come next but he told me, “I’m not worried at all about you. You’ve got this.” He had a massive hand in the reason I was able to continue on in radio.

Picture 3 - Now, we are getting to do this thing together, and I couldn’t be more honored. A full circle moment…yall know how much I love those!

I can honestly say that one of the most exciting parts about these changes at 102.1 WDRM is getting to share the studio with the legendary Dan McClain.

I know I have told the story before, but growing up listening to WDRM, and specifically Dan was such a huge part of why I wanted to get in this crazy world of radio to begin with. I called in one time to talk to Dan and he told me to call him any time, and I took him up on that for sure 🤣

In 2014 I got to intern for WDRM and this guy was the first man to ever give me a chance behind the mic, and the rest is history. I never thought we would talk him into coming out of retirement, but we did, and I TRULY couldn't be more grateful to have some an icon person as my mentor but more importantly my friend. I have had the honor to learn so much from Dan and now get to continue to learn from him and what a blessing that is.

Dan will be on every day from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - so help me welcome him back!

Ps. The third Saturday in October just got a LOT more interesting 😏

A little radio/life update from me… and it’s a BIG one! 🎙️

There are some exciting changes coming, and I can finally share them with you!

My new show on WDRM 102.1 will be from 9:00AM–1:00PM — which means we’ll have even more time together during the workday!

Mornings on WDRM are getting something new, too! The Bobby Bones Show is joining us from 5:00 AM–9:00 AM, and I’ll still be right there throughout the morning bringing you the local news, events, what’s happening around the Tennessee Valley and all the things you need to know as you start your day with Blair’s Three Things. So yes… you’ll still hear me in the mornings. You’ll just get a whole lot more of me. 😂

AND THEN… because apparently one show wasn’t enough for me…I’m officially re-joining the 100.3 The River team, too! ❤️🎉

You’ll hear me on The River from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM, and I am SO excited for the opportunity to connect with a whole new group of friends while still being right here in the community I love.

One of my favorite things about radio has always been being local — talking about our community, our people, our businesses and all the things happening right here at home. This next chapter gives me an opportunity to do that in an even bigger way.

New schedule. New adventure. Same me.
