Unfortunately, the City has decided that they will no longer partner with the Babe Ruth League and will administer the 15 & 18U baseball programs.

There will be a 15U recreational baseball league offered this spring through the City of Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department.

We have been in contact with the Madison County Recreation Department and hope to register, form teams and schedule games that will mirror their calendar. They hope to have 6-7 teams in the age group and we here in the city hope to have teams. We will begin play in the June 1 time frame and finish play by the end of July. We plan to practice and play home games at Sandhurst and Optimist Parks.

Registration will take place the first 2 weeks of April with the cost per player in the $125.00 price range, with each team furnishing their own uniform. Make checks payable to City of Huntsville

**18U Baseball**

There has been great interest in forming an18U Division for this Spring / Summer. Please reach out to Dave Pierce at [email protected] if interested in joining.

Folks,
Regrettably, after nearly 7 decades of affiliation with the Babe Ruth Baseball League in Huntsville and North Alabama, starting in 1957, the City has decided that they will assume responsibility for the administration and oversight of this post-little league baseball program for our boys aged 13 -18.
I do know that the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation is currently starting their preliminary plans for the 2025 Spring Program and I’m sure that their web site will soon contain the details.
For me and my wife, I’ve had the great honor to run the Huntsville Babe Ruth program and Sandhurst Concession Stand during these past 10 years and I also had the pleasure to assist my predecessor, Tim Harrison, for a few years who ran it for 14.
I will post any updates that I receive on our South Huntsville Babe Ruth League page.
