ok forward to welcoming you back in June! HMA is a non-profit municipal corporation established by the City of Huntsville, Alabama, and governed by a city-appointed Museum Board. The Museum seeks to foster understanding of the visual arts and appreciation of artistic achievement. The mission of the Museum is to bring people and art together through acquiring, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting the highest quality works of art. The Museum maintains an active, engaging schedule of exhibitions and programs through its permanent collections and special exhibitions. The Voices of Our Times series brings people of note in the arts, academia, publishing and politics to the Huntsville Museum of Art for in-depth discussions and presentations. The Museum Academy offers art classes and workshops for people of all ages. Numerous meeting and event spaces are available throughout the Museum to accommodate weddings, receptions, meetings and other events.

Get excited! We have partnered with to bring an exclusive t-shirt to YOU! Saturday, August 22nd, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 P.M. Guests will have the opportunity to make a free t-shirt! We have 300 available in adult sizes. Shirts will be on a first come, first served basis.

Shirts will be available in the Lobby. Green Pea Press will be in our Art Lab.

🖌 Josh Taylor will join us on Thursday, August 20th from 6-7pm with his guitar!
🖌 Saturday, August 22nd, will be onsite for a special printmaking pop up. We will provide the shirts! Come get a t-shirt to honor WARHOL: film, fashion, photography. This event is included with admission into the museum.

This week we have $5 After 5 featuring Shadow Territories and Drop in & Create.

Shadow Territories: Museum visitors will walk through the Chan Gallery as sound and movement artists respond to the “shadows, ambiguities and dark spaces” along the borders of A Beautiful Despair installion by Anila Quayyum Agha. The artists will play in cycles that make use of performing objects, unconventional instruments and vocals.

Drop in & Create: Learn about the exciting life and art of Andy Warhol! Make Warhol-inspired pop art using printmaking techniques.
