Memorial ash work is something I take seriously.
A lot of people ask if I can mix a loved one’s ashes directly into pigment. I understand the meaning behind it, but I will not mix loose ash myself.
This is not something that should be improvised. I cannot personally verify sterility, particle size, contamination risk, or how the body may react long-term.
The safe way to do it is to send the ash to a professional memorial pigment processor first. Once it comes back sealed and professionally prepared, I can work with it responsibly.
A few companies that offer this type of service:
Engrave Ink
https://engraveink.com
Approx. pricing previously listed around $289 for black or white and $489 for black + white.
Cremation Ink
https://cremationink.com
Approx. pricing listed around £120 per 1 oz bottle, black or white.
Ashes To Ink / Your Angel’s Ink

They offer cremation-remains pigment services and collection kits; pricing should be checked directly before ordering.
This is about respect, safety, and doing the process correctly.
Loose ash does not go directly into pigment in my studio.
