✨ About Jennifer: ✨
"Art and design has always been a part of Jennifer Mumby’s life. From a young age on her parents’ farm in Tennessee, she was always drawing, playing with color, redecorating her room and making elaborate living spaces for her Barbies. She benefitted from the guidance of great art teachers in her teens as well as in college. Following this path, she earned a communications degree focusing on Advertising, with minors in Art and English. She worked for many years on and off Music Row as a graphic artist and an art director for small ad agencies before going into print production where she worked with clients from Nashville to New York. A new job took Jennifer and her husband John to Atlanta for over 20 years where she rediscovered her love of painting while working in sales in the Home Décor industry. Jennifer learned a lot about product development, merchandising, and interior design through this career shift. She also studied drawing and painting with several with local artists, including Damon Carter, for several years. In the fall of 2019 Jennifer and John relocated to Huntsville AL and they absolutely love their new city!
Jennifer has studied and worked in watercolor, pastel and acrylic, but these days works primarily in oil. She feels the best paintings tell a story, or they inspire the viewer to write their own story related to the image. Her work is as broad as her interests but the paintings and stories she enjoys most involve her love of travel, her love of home, good wine and good friends."
