Another new entrant to Art in the Park next weekend is Lesia Angel. Lesia juried in with TSAA this Spring -

Lesia Angel's love for art began in childhood, when she was given art supplies instead of toys. She attended a Waldorf school while growing up in Maryland near D.C., where creativity was encouraged and nurtured. Summers were later spent in her father's dental lab, while living in Melbourne Florida. She was given wax, plaster molds and tools to enjoy while her dad worked. These early experiences helped spark her lifelong passions for sculpting, design, and handcrafts.

As an adult, Lesia explored many artistic mediums, including bead weaving, wire work, glass bead making and sewing. She was among the early juried artists at Tamarack Marketplace in West Virginia, first recognized for her lamp work jewelry, her glass beads were featured in the art book by Lark Books 1000 Glass Beads. She was also recently accepted as a juried Tamarack artisan for her ceramics. Her work can be found at Tamarack as well as select shops in Charleston.

Lesia is an active participant in regional art events, including Charleston's FestivALL, FesitvFALL, the South Charleston Mound Show, and the Capitol City Art and Craft Show.

She is also developing her first website, where she plans to offer her one-of-a-kind creations for sale. always eager to expand her reach, Lesia continues to seek out new galleries and shops to feature her work.

Don't forget - next Saturday and Sunday is Art in the Park! We have over two dozen artists representing their work from TSAA. Adam Gedney, multiple award winner at the TSAA juried exhibition, will be debuting his work with us this year!

Adam Gedney is a fine art photographer and 2026 Best in Show recipient at the Tri-State Arts Association juried exhibition at the Huntington Museum of Art, where two works are currently on display.

He works in two bodies: We Are Dust and Shadow — vanitas still life continuing the 400-year Dutch Golden Age tradition — and In the Shadow of the Cross, intimate documentary photography of monastic life at Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV. Both are meditations on mortality, silence, and the sacred.
