🩰💖 In the Studio With… Miss Crissa! 💖🩰

This week, we're introducing one of the newest teachers on the Heartwork team - Miss Crissa! ✨

Miss Crissa is a wife, mama, and part-time school-based speech-language pathologist. Depending on the season, you'll find her at the soccer field, baseball field, basketball court, or dance studio cheering on her kids! 💖

She began dancing as a child, focusing on jazz and hip hop, and continued through high school. She was even selected for her high school's dance team and attended dance camps at Eastern Kentucky University! 🩰✨

Miss Crissa discovered Heartwork when her daughter became interested in dance. After attending Heartwork Summer Camp, her family quickly fell in love with the encouraging environment, uplifting music, and wonderful friendships. 🤍

Last year, Miss Crissa served as a classroom assistant. This year, she's stepping into her first season as an official Heartwork teacher and helping launch our NEW Jazz classes! 🎉

One of her favorite things about Heartwork is getting to know students and families while being part of a ministry that helps girls grow in both dance and faith.

Miss Crissa hopes every dancer feels welcomed, included, and comfortable in her class. She wants her students to see God in everything they do - through the music, the movement, and the way they treat one another. 💖

Her teaching style is encouraging, energetic, and adaptable, meeting each dancer where they are and helping them grow with confidence and joy.

Fun fact: Miss Crissa has always wanted to learn how to tap dance but never had the chance! Maybe someday we'll see her shuffle-ball-change across the studio floor. 😉👯‍♀️

✨ Heartwork Summer Camp 2026: Brighter Together ✨

We are getting so excited for summer camp! 🩷🩵💜

July 27 through 31, we’ll spend the week dancing, twirling, laughing, growing in faith, and making sweet memories together.

This year’s theme is *Brighter Together*, inspired by Matthew 5:14-16. A reminder that God created each of us to shine, and when we encourage one another and grow together, that light shines even brighter! ✨

It is going to be an exciting week, and we would love to have your daughter join us!

After 60 man-hours of labor, 11 volunteers, 3 trips to Lowe’s, 8 gallons of paint, and a few pizzas, our new studio rooms are spruced up with a fresh coat of paint! ✨

Up next… flooring, mirrors, and a ballet barre!

🩰💖 In the Studio With… Miss Ashleigh! 💖🩰

This week, we’re introducing one of the longtime hearts behind Heartwork - Miss Ashleigh! ✨

Miss Ashleigh is a mama of 3 who spends her days teaching preschool at Enslow Park Presbyterian Preschool and her evenings making memories with her children - going on adventures, dancing, and spending time with family. 💖

Miss Ashleigh has been dancing for nearly 19 years, including 13 years of ballet training! While ballet will always be her first love, she also enjoys jazz, modern, and lyrical. 🩰✨

Did you know Miss Ashleigh has been with Heartwork from the very beginning?

Over 11 years ago, before they were even family, Mindi asked Ashleigh if she would help teach ballet for a brand-new ministry designed to give Christian families a safe, Christ-centered place to express themselves through dance and twirl. She said yes - and now she’s entering her 10th year teaching ballet at Heartwork alongside an incredible team of ballet teachers. 🤍

One of Miss Ashleigh’s favorite things about teaching is watching dancers grow in confidence year after year - becoming more comfortable in their abilities while also growing closer to Christ and stronger in their faith through the support of Christian teachers and families. 🥹

Miss Ashleigh hopes every student leaves her class knowing that when life feels hard and you don’t think you can keep going, that is often when God invites us to lean on Him most. He walks with us through every valley and stands with us on every mountaintop - all because of His deep love for us. 💖

Her teaching style? Gentle, structured, encouraging, and detail-oriented. (Because good technique and dance etiquette matter! 😉)

Fun fact: When she was 16, Miss Ashleigh traveled to Costa Rica and even took dance classes in traditional Costa Rican folk dances, including the Swing Criollo and Punto Guanacasteco! 🌎💃

🩰💖 In the Studio With… Miss Cyndi! 💖🩰

This week, we’re introducing one of the sweet hearts behind Heartwork — Miss Cyndi! ✨

Miss Cyndi is a homeschooling mama of EIGHT who spends her days homeschooling, writing daily devotions for her church’s children’s program, and working with an amazing public relations company she truly enjoys. She loves reading her Bible, singing (loudly!) throughout the house, and soaking in the simple joy of everyday family life. 🎶📖🏡

Though she danced, cheered, and tumbled as a child, Miss Cyndi began taking online ballet classes when her girls joined Heartwork so she could better support them and understand what they were learning. Two years ago, she joined B3 with Ashleigh Bell, growing in both technique and appreciation for the heart behind Heartwork. 🤍

Her favorite dance styles are ballet and lyrical — styles she loves for their beauty, emotion, and ability to beautifully communicate the message of a song. 🩰✨

Heartwork became the perfect fit for Miss Cyndi’s family because it allowed them to stay connected while building meaningful friendships with like-minded Christians who desire to honor the Lord. More than just an activity, Heartwork has become a place where their family feels rooted, encouraged, and surrounded by community. 💖

One of Miss Cyndi’s favorite things about teaching? The people. She loves getting to know each student and family, building meaningful relationships, and creating a space that honors and glorifies the LORD. 🥹✨

Miss Cyndi hopes every dancer leaves her class feeling deeply loved and encouraged — knowing they are seen, valued, and always being cheered on, both in and out of the studio.

Fun fact: Miss Cyndi makes up songs about ordinary things and sings them throughout the house! Her family says living with her is like being in a really low-rated Disney movie — laundry, butter, and even friends have all gotten their own songs. 😂🎶
