Our artists just returned last night from year two of Coal Country Tattoo Expo. We had a blast.

First off thank you to Chris Walker for putting on a wonderful show two times in a year and allowing us to join.

As for our artists, Mooney did a couple of amazing pieces and while they didn’t bring home an award - he did an amazing job and we are super proud of him. He did these beautiful angels.

Krystiana worked this as her first convention as an artist and it was her first convention as an apprentice last year. She had the opportunity to do a few pieces and she did great work. Super proud of her and seeing how far she has come as an artist. Can’t wait to see how much more she progresses next year.

Maralyn did three large tattoos this year and we are super proud of her. She got to do a portrait of her son on her father in law, Beserk’s Guts and a black and grey Zombie. She brought home five awards. 1st place Large Anime (Beserk), 2nd place back piece and it also won 2nd place large oriental (Japanese back piece), 2nd place sleeve, and 2nd place large Black and Grey (zombie).

To the clients, we absolutely could not do this without you all. We cannot express how grateful and thankful we are for all of you and for the support you continue to show us.

We will see you all next year!

This week we’re going to be changing our walk in availability a little bit in preparation for the coal country tattoo expo!

Thursday we will be appointment only. We will not be taking walk ins for tattoos or piercings that day. So if you have a tattoo appointment it’s still on!

Friday and Saturday we will be taking walk ins for piercings. We will have very limited tattoo walk ins in the shop as most of our crew will be at the expo.

We appreciate any patience everyone can give us when calling or stopping into the shop. If you’re going to be in the Pikeville KY area over the weekend please stop by the expo and see some of your favorite golden dagger artists!

John had the opportunity to pierce this tragus for a wonderful client. Love how this turned out. He takes walk ins Tuesday through Saturday 1 pm to 7 pm. Make sure you bring your ID. For minors bring their birth certificate accompanied by a parent and their ID!
