Did you know that Jackie Kennedy did not wear real pearls? Other celebrities like Lucille Ball, Grace Kelly, Gloria Vanderbilt and Coco Chanel wore faux Miriam Haskell pearls.

"Jackie Kennedy famously wore imitation, or faux, pearls, not real ones, particularly her iconic triple-strand necklace. While she owned real jewelry, the three-strand necklace, designed by Kenneth Jay Lane, was a signature piece worn frequently at the White House. This faux necklace famously sold for over $211,000 at a 1996 Sotheby’s auction."

Throwback Thursday: From 2019, my Astral Bracelet beaded up using Czech 8x6mm (left) and 7mm (right) Baroque two-hole cabochons, 3mm fire-polished bead and Miyuki seed beads. 7mm round Czechmates two-hole cabochons can also be used. The Backlit Baroque two-hole cabochons I used are getting kind of hard to find now. If you are a bead shop and sell them, feel free to add a shop link to them in the Comments section of this post. My Astral Bracelet pattern is free and I have added a link to it on my website in the Comments below.
