Such a beautiful morning spent in community. 🥰✨

We were honored to welcome Lena Gonzalez to our space for a meaningful conversation about the issues impacting our SELA communities, the work being done to create change, and the importance of continuing to advocate for the people who call our communities home.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their voices, and represented our community with so much heart. It’s always special to see our space filled with connection, conversation, and purpose. 👏🏽🌿✨

This morning was also extra special as we got to give everyone a little first taste of HELECHO Coffee & Tea Bar ☕️🌿 helecho_la our newest venture! Seeing everyone enjoying our coffee and catering carts (and hearing all the sweet compliments 🥹) made us even more excited for what’s ahead.

The love and support for our Échale Ganas Back-to-School Event just kept growing, and we couldn’t let these incredible community supporters go without a huge THANK YOU! 🥹💚

A huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible businesses, organizations, community partners, and individuals who came together to make our Échale Ganas Back-to-School Event possible. 💛

This event is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with one shared purpose: supporting our children and creating spaces where families feel welcomed, connected, and celebrated.

Because of your generosity, donations, sponsorships, and time, we’re able to create a fun and meaningful day for our community before the new school year begins.

✨ Join us Tomorrow Saturday from 3:00–6:00 PM at The Fern!

Registration is just $5 per child, and every registered child will receive an Échale Ganas Activation Card that gives them access to all of our exciting activities, including:

🎨 Creative hands-on activities

🎒 School supplies & backpacks (while supplies last)

Our Échale Ganas Back-to-School Event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible businesses, organizations, and community members who chose to give back.

Check out this year’s Échale Ganas Activation Card and get a sneak peek of all the fun we’ve planned!

Every child who registers will receive their very own Échale Ganas Activation Card at check-in!

This card is your child’s ticket to experiencing all of the fun waiting for them at the event. As they visit each activity station, they’ll collect one stamp for completing each experience. We can’t wait to see every card filled with stamps by the end of the day! ⭐️

😎For just $5 per child, registration includes:
🎟️ One raffle ticket for exciting giveaways
🎒 A backpack with school supplies
🎨 Access to every activity station on the Activation Card
🌮Food and refreshments

SELA Community 📣🚨 We Need Your Help! 💛

As we prepare for our Échale Ganas Back-to-School Event this Saturday, we’re putting together a FREE Community Resource Guide for every family who attends.

Do you know of a nonprofit, organization, business, or individual that offers resources for children and families?

We’re looking for:
✨ Affordable or free tutoring (reading, writing, math, etc.)
✨ After-school programs
✨ Educational enrichment
✨ School supply assistance
✨ Free or low-cost meals & food resources
✨ Mental health & family support
✨ Youth programs
✨ Scholarships
✨ Any other community resources that help children thrive

If your organization would like to have a table at our event or be included in our printed resource guide, we’d love to connect with you!

Please send us a DM or email us your information so we can share these valuable resources with our SELA families.

As summer comes to an end, we wanted to create one more special day for our community to come together, celebrate our children, and kick off the new school year with joy.

💛 Join us on Saturday, August 8th, from 3:00–6:00 PM at The Fern in Huntington Park.

This event is only possible because of the incredible local businesses, organizations, and community members across Southeast LA who believe in investing in our children and supporting our families.

Registration is just $5 per child the link is in our bio/website. Once you’re inside, everything is included!

Each registered child will receive:
🎒 A backpack
✏️ School supplies
🍽️ Free food
🎨 Arts & crafts
🎭 Face painting
🫧 Bubble Ballon house play
📚 Personalized bookmarks
🔑 Keychain & pencil pouch decorating
🖍️ Coloring stations
