We are heartbroken that last Sundays 98-degree heatwave resulted in the cancellation of today's Pop-Up Vendor faire. We're making lemons out of the lemonade with fairy crafts and coloring inside Studio 14. Plus, we'll still have LIVE Music from 4-6pm with the Pink Dragons!

Thank you, to our founding philanthropy board member Cindy Freeman, for your heartfelt words and perspective!

"Giving Tuesday is today. I’d like to share why your Giving Tuesday donations are important to Whimsicalitea, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports artisans.

There are many ways Whimsicalitea has given to the Arts. We have given more than $100,000 to creatives to support their work. We helped one person start a business. More than 50 authors have been published by E. Gads Hill Press, the publishing arm of Whimsicalitea that represents seven different genres. These authors retain their copyrights and 100% of the royalties from the sale of their books.
Well over 100 classes, events, and even theme trips have been hosted by Whimsicalitea so the community can participate for reasonable prices.

Prior to this year, Whimsicalitea offered events in various rented locations. In 2025, with the opening of a brick and mortar location named Studio 14, we finally have a place where artisans can sell their creations. We are able to offer events at our own location, making them even more accessible to the public. To keep costs as reasonable as possible, Studio 14 is staffed entirely by volunteers.

I have watched Whimsicalitea evolve over nearly a decade. It had gone from an idea that started long before most of us heard about it or attended an event. Finally the philanthropy has a brick and mortar location. However, we have recently lost our two primary funding sources. To continue the philanthropic work we have been doing, we need to replace those funding sources. That is one reason Giving Tuesday donations are so important to us this year. CAT CARE — with extra love for Black Cats 🐈‍⬛

1pm — Pawsitively Purrfect with Pet Meet & Greet: This time of year, black cats are at particular risk of being exploited, or worse. In this presentation by Tom Mynar, learn what's really involved in cat care, whether you're thinking of getting a cat or are already living with one.

This family activity is Free; any donations will be split between OCSP Cat Rescue & Whimsicalitea's animal welfare fund

From Tom:

"My name is Tom Mynar. My wife and I have lived in Orange County since the '80s. I have been in cat fostering and feral cat care since the late '90s. All of our cats were adopted from “showing up” in our yard.

I am currently on the board of the OCSP Cat Rescue group in Orange County. We manage over 150 kittens and cats; many can be found on Petfinders.com. We hold adoption events on Saturdays in the Petco stores in Mission Viejo, Tustin, and 2 Huntington Beach locations.

It is very rewarding when someone adopts a cat (or cats) which I have fostered. The most memorable were two males, Freddie and Mac, who were adopted by a Tustin Police Officer (a parole officer). She has sent me photos and videos of them enjoying their own room.

During my presentation at Studio 14 I will be talking about general feline facts, the rewards of fostering and adopting, and misconceptions about domestic and feral cats."
