Beach scene resin art on fleek. Mom gets really excited when she has good resin pour days. Some days things come out perfectly the way you want them to, some days they don’t! We’ve been playing around with our new tools and have so many things in the works! Remember the video cutting the top of a suitcase? Did you guess it would be a planter?! Mom had this salesman suitcase given to to her a while ago. We originally thought of maybe turning it into an end table, but the top and bottom were too warped, and it had a smell to it that we didn’t think would do well inside. So we made it into a planter! Isn’t it gorgeous?! And yes, teal 🤣 it’s going to be a part of a fairy garden! 🧚🏿‍♀️🪴

When we say trash to treasure, we truly mean trash to treasure!! A friend found these by the dumpster near her art studio, and because everyone knows we collect items by the trash 🤣 she called and asked we wanted them! They sat for a month or so while some ideas percolated in the brain and voila! Trash to treasure. A magnet board for kids to hang their art on, (swipe) a frame to hang some Polaroids in, (swipe) and the original look of the frames! Do you have any old stuff you’re not sure what to do with? Make it into something new and fun!

Serene beach scenes coming right up! Some of these have been made and sold so quickly we haven’t even been able to post them up. We haven’t been posting a much, but there is a LOT going on behind the scenes around here! Mom is doing a lot of creating at her house while I do a lot of creating at my house and then we come together to put all the pieces together! We are having a blast, learning some new skills and techniques we love, and doing some pretty awesome repurposing with a whole lot of love ❤️

We don’t always love what we make. But we don’t hate on it. We learn from it, strip it off, and start over again! We learned in this project that while we love doing dirty pour paintings with our favorite colors, we definitely do not like it in a circular pattern. We prefer the side to side pattern we did on our previous projects. Lesson learned! We’ve moved on from our previous inspiration on this table to something new. Stay tuned to see what we do with it!

A good friend gave us free reign on a family heirloom hope chest she wanted updated, and we had absolutely loved the outcome we got. We haven’t been taking as many videos this year, obviously. We wish we had more to show of the process of this project. We used DIY Bohemian Blue chalk paint, DIY wax, and created resin molds to take the place of the the old, broken hardware. She just doesn’t stop coming up with new stuff to create! transfers on a lamp shade takes it up a notch and makes it more interesting and fun! What piece do you have that would you put transfers on to liven it up?

Here’s an after and then a before 🤪 of a roll top desk we did a while back (pre-covid) that we got from a friend who was throwing it out. We ❤️ that friends think of us when they want to get rid of furniture or really anything else they find 😂 I’ve even gotten some cute mugs and an AMAZING old chest recently from a good friend. This desk was our 3rd project, but went straight to my daughters’ room when it was done. We used DIY paint from and transfers from Love that sunflower! 🌻

You know that feeling when you’re in your flow and your brain is firing on all cylinders and you’re just so stoked on what you’re doing you keep coming up with new ideas? That’s us lately. And we keep coming up with MORE things we want to try, while we already have so many things to do 😂 that’s the creative life! Shout out to my husband for dealing with all the extra stuff I collect that “I know I can do something cool with”. And we will! We started propagating and planting some succulents in some adorable containers we found. It was so fun to try something new and get our hands dirty 🌱 what’s your fave succulent? The first pic is one of mine! Plants will be available for purchase soon!
