In case you didn't know I have always been a fan of "personal development" books, programs and videos. I still have a set of 80's Tony Robbins Personal Power cassettes! I have always been open to all types of intelligent thought and opinions. Learning bits and pieces of usable information from each set of ideas. One of my favorite philosophers is Bruce Lee. He believed the best style was "no style". He learned the best and most effective things from any martial art form/style and discarded the rest. Only focusing on the best from each. Therefore he had "no style" in particular. I wan't that kind of style in life, surfing and art. Seems what I have been learning all along is a Japanese word called Ikigai. Until yesterday I didn't even know the word existed. Thanks to my friends the Surfwriter Girls Patti Kishel and Sonja Magdaug for their most recent article about it. Now it all makes sense. I hope all of you can find your Ikigai. It's probably the most worthy goal you can have in life.

I am determined to create some of my best work during this quarantine. Can you guess what I'm working on here? Anybody can be an artist. Through out history regular people in all cultures have figured out ways to create art with what resources they have. Create something funny, different or awesome and post it for all to see. Some day when all this is over you'll be able to look back to see how you overcame adversity in style!
