Welcome to Tribal Bellies Dance Studio, the first belly dance studio dedicated to ITS (Improv Tribal Style) Belly Dance in the Philadelphia area. Vikki of Hipnosis Tribal Belly Dance Troupe is excited to offer a full range of ITS classes, from beginner through advanced. Tribal Bellies Dance Studio offers a variety of classes which include a 'level approach' to ITS, as well as specialty classes and

workshops focusing on Form Refinement, Specialty Skills, Drills for overall dance improvement, and the use of Props such as Sword, Floor Work, Veils, Skirts, etc. In addition to all of this, the studio hosts guest instructors to further feed your dance repertoire. Belly Dance can be enjoyed by women of all ages, shapes, and ability levels. This dance is a social activity that embraces the diversity of women and their bodies. At Tribal Bellies you will meet new people and form new friendships, all while getting a low-impact aerobic workout! Serving a community membership of over 70 dancers, there are various avenues of class opportunities, performance venues, and an onsite souk featuring the wares of Madam Marge and Crystal Kini Designs.

In just one month, on August 29th, Elizabeth Khard will be here to teach and perform! Tickets are available now, and we've got an outstanding lineup we'll be unveiling over the coming weeks. We'll have our studio's dancers (including a few performers who have not been around in quite a while), some favorites from the local belly dance communities, some exciting names coming from further away, and even some performers who will be on our stage for the first time! Some of the studio dancers got to be part of the inaugural Nocturne, goth and metal belly dance show last week! And a few more familiar faces from the studio turned up to support and enjoy the show. The event also included a raffle to raise money for the support of our dance community's Meesha as she gets treatment for cancer. It was a great turnout for a very unique show, and co-producers La Envy and The All-Father might be turning it into a recurring show in the future!
