Last night, our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade choirs presented a beautiful winter concert at Davidson College Presbyterian Church. We are so thankful for our new partnership with them and for their allowing us to use their facilities.

I'm so incredibly proud of each one of our students who auditioned for the NC Honors Chorus this year, but am overjoyed that these young leaders will get the chance to work with some of our state's best musicians and award-winning composer and clinician, Victor C. Johnson!

So proud of these kiddos, who traveled to Lenoir earlier this week to audition for the NC Middle School Honors Chorus. They've worked hard since August (some of them even put in extra work over the summer) to prepare.

This week has been FULL. The students have done so well taking ownership of our department and being great representatives of LNC. I'm so proud of how much we've all grown and happy to call each of you my students. 💚💙

What a great crew of hard-working young people. These five helped me run an MPA site at (hosted by .choirs) and received nothing but positive feedback from the other choral directors, Wingate students, and Wingate staff. I'm so proud to call myself their director.

Had the privilege to see .academy.school’s production of “Hadestown”, and it was PHENOMENAL! Props to the wonderful Emily Turner for her music direction, as well as the other teachers and directors who were responsible for this masterpiece!

First field trip of the school year = ✅

So proud of these six for handling their first chorus field trip like pros. Thanks to for hosting their annual choral clinic and giving young musicians the opportunity to experience music outside of their regular classrooms. Can’t wait to come back next year with more friends!
