Join us on June 18 for our Juneteenth Block Party to kick off our LalaCaboosa Music Series this summer. At Veterans Park from 5pm - 9pm.

What a great morning at Veterans Park! Thank you to Grand Central Academy of Performing Arts for joining us for today’s Pop-Up and leading a fun dance lesson for families in the park. We loved seeing everyone get moving, learn new skills, and enjoy time together in the community.

Missed today’s program? Join us for our next Pop-Up this Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Veterans Park! The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will be presenting a storytelling puppet show. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab a spot on the lawn, and enjoy a fun morning of stories, puppets, and family entertainment.

Wowza, it is hot outside!! Summer is officially here! School is out! Camp and summer pop ups and events are IN! We had a blast this week with the first day of adventure camp, first bubble pop up, first just kidding around, first movie in the park, our first month of the Growers Market, and first family field day! Be sure to continue to check in and find all the other summer shenanigans in our monthly activity post and our page events.

🚨 After-School Registration Alert! 🚨
Registration for the Huntersville Parks & Recreation Afterschool Program (AHOY) will open on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 8 AM.

If your child will be attending Blythe, Barnette, or Torrence Creek Elementary and you want to reserve a space in AHOY, you must complete the CMS alternate stop request form to ensure your child can be dropped off at the Huntersville Recreation Center for afterschool care.
