This next batch of paddle balls are going to be extra special! They will come strung with the balls of a paddle ball legend! Heh- heh!
When I first started producing paddle balls, I looked all over to try and find the perfect size, weight and bouncy sponge rubber balls. I do not sell enough paddles to have truckloads custom made for me, but I finally found a source here in NC that produced sponge rubber balls that were the perfect weight and bounce, but the standard sizes available were one size that was a little smaller than desired and the next size up was a little too large? But they were the only “available” sponge balls I could find on the market without buying a TON of them (I just don’t sell that many paddles) so I have been using them.
They actually sell these rubber balls to industrial companies who have pipes that acquire buildup of material on the inside of the pipes to FLUSH thru and clear the pipes.
These have worked fine up until now, when I recently learned that I will be able to acquire leftover balls/inventory via a friend, that were the PERFECT size, weight, bounce and they are even white, which reads way better than red. These balls were custom ordered and made to exact specifications for Dan Volks, who performed for years as “Bouncing Dan The Paddling Man”, a legendary paddle performer. When he used to produce/sell paddle balls he had these made just for him. These will definitely up the historical/cool factor with my paddle ball king paddles. Waiting on the first batch to arrive.
