Tonight HHS band student Makenna and HHS band director Mr. Jones will be performing in this concert this evening at 7pm in the Bowlus Fine Arts Center. Come out and support the Iola Community Orchestra.

Off we go to another League Music Festival. We are so proud of our band students for all of their hard work. Our Tri-Valley League music festival concert is tonight at 6:30 pm at Neodesha Middle/High School. We will post more pictures throughout the day today. Saturday we also have some High School band members competing at regional solo and small ensemble festival in Independence, Kansas

Mrs. Buchanan and Mr. Jones have the privilege to bring 3 of our talented vocal students to the Southeast Kansas Music Education Association Elementary District Choir. The students will be performing at 3:30pm.

Calling all band alumni! We are wanting to invite you back to perform at a basketball game with us on Thursday February 12th, 2026. We will have two (2) different nights that any alumni are able to come practice the music before the game itself. The practice nights are January 20th and February 10th. Both nights Mr. Jones will be available from 5-6pm. If you need an alternative time or need an instrument please let Mr. Jones know as soon as possible at [email protected].

We brought seven EHS Band members to Humboldt to support our basketball teams! We are combining forces with Humboldt’s band for a night of unity through music.

Today we are finishing our final marching event of the year. We may have small numbers but we are mighty tonight. Today’s parade became optional since there was so many events going on today. We are proud of our band members. Last night they sounded phenomenal at the game as well.

Are you as excited for our Christmas concert as we are? We are showcasing all three ensembles, featuring a diverse range of holiday classics as well as some new music that will surely bring Christmas cheer. We will also be having a Hot Chocolate fundraiser after the concert. We will be selling cups of hot chocolate for $1 a piece. Please bring cash if you would like to participate. The concert is on Thursday, November 20th, starting at 6:30 PM.

Do you remember those Saturday morning cartoons? Do you want to relive your past of learning? Then come this Saturday November 8th at 7pm to the Humboldt High School Auditorium as the Humboldt Drama Department presents School House Rock Live! Jr. You'll surely remember some of the greatest hits like "I'm Just a Bill" or "Interplanet Janet." Again our show is THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH at 7PM in HHS Auditorium.
