Supergirl Lands at The Plaza at 7pm Friday Night!

The Supergirl movie stands out as a gritty, space-western revenge story that takes a darker, more emotionally complex approach than its franchise peers. Rather than an Earth-bound superhero origin story, it follows an embittered, trauma-scarred Kara traversing alien galaxies with her flying dog, Krypto, and an orphaned alien girl.

Kara, a survivor of Krypton, spends her days planet-hopping across the galaxy to drink and party. While celebrating her birthday, she meets Ruthye, a young girl seeking revenge against the ruthless space pirate Krem for murdering her family. When Krem severely poisons Supergirl's dog, Kara reluctantly joins forces with Ruthye on an epic, interstellar quest for vengeance and justice.

Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor and Colin Firth, Disclosure Day follows a cybersecurity whistleblower and a meteorologist as they attempt to expose an 80-year government conspiracy regarding alien life. The thriller focuses on the moral and societal impact of this revelation.

Spielberg has received high critical praise for this movie and many are saying this could be his biggest and best blockbuster to date. Rated PG-13.
