As a mom of six daughters, this year’s Sweet 16 theme touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect. The recital celebrated so much more than dance—it celebrated the journey of growing up.
As I reflect on recital weekend, I am reminded that the most beautiful part of dance isn’t the performance itself. It’s the friendships formed, the confidence gained, the lessons learned, and the milestones reached along the way. Watching our dancers bring those moments to life on stage was truly special.💓
Thank you to our dancers for your hard work, dedication, and love of dance. Thank you for trusting us with your dreams and for sharing your gifts with us throughout the season. You brought such heart and joy to the stage. This theme really made it difficult to say goodbye to our four seniors who have been with us for most of the journey. ♥️
And to our parents—thank you for every ride to class, every costume change, every encouraging word, and every sacrifice made behind the scenes. Your support, love, and commitment make all of this possible. I traveled that road for many years with my children.
To my daughters/instructors, Bri, Taylor, Leigh, and Lexi. The best part of this journey is traveling with you along the way. You held Define Dance up and kept it strong. I also appreciate your spouses coming alongside of you to assist in whatever is needed. To Madelyn, thank you for bringing your artistry to the classroom. Thank you for letting the McAnulty’s “adopt” you in as one of the teaching sisters. To my daughter, Madi, thank you for coming from out of town to assist, encourage, support and do whatever was needed for this recital weekend. Your love over the years means everything ♥️
My heart is full of gratitude for each and every one of you. Thank you for being part of the Define Dance family and for helping make Sweet 16: Miles & Milestones a celebration we will never forget. ♥️✨
