On Friday, March 14th, 2025, due to budget concerns, a decision was made to not renew Director Dr. Jashua Kelly's contract at the Garden City Community College. Dr. Kelly has changed many lives in his time as a Director and Professor, and that can't stop now. This decision will mean lights out for our theater, and no more higher theatrical education for our entire community.
As passionate Thespians we believe that this program is crucial. We ask for your help to assist in gaining awaronoss, in order to convince the college to put their faith in theater and renew his contract!
Please help by spreading the word, and signing our petition, which will be presented to the Garden City Community College Board of Trustees.
Or do one better and send an email directly to the Board of Trustees at [email protected]
Or to GCCC president Ryan Ruda at [email protected]

Prepare for big laughs, outrageous mishaps, and non-stop mayhem in this fast-paced one-act comedy!

As director of our upcoming Spring production, I look forward to a great turnout for our final night of tryouts for "A Toby Show"! It is a whimsical melodramatic version of the Cinderella story set in Victorian age America. Come help us showcase entertainment as it used to be, when it was travelling shows instead of television and cell phones.
Tryouts tuesday Feb 25th, 305 S Jackson, Hugoton. A Toby Show by Aurand Harris, Dramatic Publishing
