Visitors frequently refer to it as a "Hidden Jewel," as it's such an unexpected find in this rural part of East Texas. Located in the former Eubanks and Reeder General Store at 1st and Ward Streets, which was originally built in 1907, The Legacy was renovated inside and out and completed in 2013. Although the interior is new, it still echoes the original--as seen in photos that hang on the wall as
a historical reminder. The exterior was constructed from the original brick, which was removed, cleaned, and replaced. The facility has 9,000 square feet of traditional "Southern Charm," and can accommodate over 300 guests. Beyond the breathtaking first impressions of the Grand Staircase, is the Impressionist artwork, the Tiffany style chandeliers, and the upstairs mezzanine with its elaborate wrought iron railing, and the outdoor wrap-around balcony. The Legacy also boasts a top-of-the-line Sennheiser Sound System with wireless microphones, Wi-Fi, and a projector with a full-sized pull-down screen. Located upstairs is a charming Bridal Suite with its own personal restroom. Clients also have full use of the state-of-the-art Chef's kitchen that includes two double ovens, side by side refrigerator, microwave, and a large moveable granite-topped kitchen island, as well as plenty of countertop workspace. A staff member is always on hand during events. With a very strong Southern "Gone with the Wind" appeal, our facility is the perfect backdrop for weddings, concerts, Proms, reunions, parties, conferences, art shows, and any get-together. Come experience southern hospitality at its finest!
