Here's one of my impressionistic watercolor paintings of "Tom's Burnt Down Bar," I created on Madeline Island Wisconsin. Kind of a cluster of a painting and chaos with no focal point, but that's the beauty of Tom's.

For those that don't know; this bar burned down in the 1990s, the owner was left with the charred remains and no insurance payout. When a b**r delivery truck arrived for the grand opening, he simply started selling cold drinks out of the trunk of his car.

Its roofless and open-air today. Not sure how the fire marshall lets this go, but it is an icon and must visit when on Madeline Island.

Here's a painting I created earlier this year when I was in Bayfield, Wis. The seagulls sitting on the roof of this older marine warehouse on a cloudy, gray day, seemed to be watching over the town.
