"Any Which Way the Wind Blows" by Katrina Polhamus
Fluffy as a cloud, this bluebird is lighter than air as it perches in a golden hot air balloon. As the ribbons catch the air, he is ready to go where the wind takes him. The ‘french country’ background and taupe-colored ribbons compliment the antique styling of the balloon.
14x11 inches, acrylic painting on canvas
Just in: new wooden bowls by Marcus Schafer of SWORKS!
Each layer is precision cut, then carefully stacked and glued to create depth in the finished piece.

Artwork by Seraphs and Salt Studio, Meaghan Milner Reed, Karen Koch.
Sparkle and shine, color and creativity - just a few of the qualities to love about jewelry by Terri Hickey of This Side Of Classic.
Terri Hickey is a jewelry artist working in silver and enamel. Her style is classic with a contemporary twist. Bold colors and designs are offset by subtle shading and rich textures. Her jewelry is easy to wear and sure to get you compliments!
Singing in the Rainbow Rain by Katrina Polhamus.
Inspired by rainy spring days, Katrina's golden umbrella holds a flock of birds standing in for the rainbow on a spring day.
The droplets of color in the background are a painty interpretation of rain falling on pavement, while the light pastel and pearl metallic colors reflect the rainbow in the sky above.
Wishin' you a wee bit of fun and a lot 'o' luck on St. Patrick's Day!
Artwork by Carol Cross, Seraphs and Salt Studio, and Jonathan Becker
Please help us welcome Jonathan Becker and his wonderful work to the gallery!
Jonathan is a multi-talented artist and performer who has taught and performed around the world.
We are delighted to have a selection of his mask-based artwork in the gallery. His pieces are inspired by stories - whether contemporary or timeless - that we can each relate to.
We invite you to come in and experience his work for yourself!
While we're busy introducing new artists, let's take a minute to introduce some fond favorites as well!
On this bright, sunny day, the suncatchers on our windows are really sparkling!
They are made by Sharon Martyn of Pane In The Glass Studio, who has been working with stained glass for over 20 years.
In the Cleveland neighborhood, where she lives, she has designed new stained glass windows, and restored and repaired many others for the lovely old historic homes in the area.
Along with glass, Sharon incorporates found objects, wire and beads, bringing a new dimension to her stained glass pieces.
Her designs are ever changing. Each piece is hand cut and hand crafted by her in her studio.
Everyone say Hi to Sharon!
Please extend a warm welcome to Marcus Schafer of SWORKS who has joined our gallery!
Marcus makes 3D items from eco-friendly eucalyptus fiberboard. He sketches out the designs by hand, then uses a high-powered laser cutter to cut them out. He then assembles the pieces by hand, one layer at a time!
Marcus brought us an assortment of bowls, puzzles, lights, and wall pieces that you just have to see!
Please join us in welcoming Katrina Polhamus to the gallery!
Katrina is a former landscape designer who celebrates her love for the natural world and home life in her art.
In the paintings we have, she has chosen to paint a realistic bird on a golden perch against a patterned background.
Her choice of bird species, perch shape, and background are all based a related theme, and combine to give the painting its own unique narrative.
For example, in "Tutti Fruitti", the fruit-loving toucan, citrus-shaped perch, and decorative cherries. The background has a stylized tropical, vintage design and colors, and the 1950's song referenced by the title enhances the painting's retro vibe.
The same careful thought and design have gone into each painting!
Photos don't do these justice! Stop in and see them for yourself. We're open Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm.
From the world of rock concerts and theater productions to the world of clay!
Join us in welcoming Val Renner and her colorful jewelry collection to the gallery!
As Associate Director of the Akron Civic Theatre, Val creates jewelry inspired by the nightly shows, colorful performers, and the unique venue itself.
Val's jewelry designs are another outlet for her creativity, inspired by the shows that she works with and all the colors and the imaginative people that she encounters.
We have a gorgeous selection of earrings and necklaces from Val that are sure to brighten even the snowiest day.
May her jewelry make you smile. Rock on!
In case you've been wondering what Dana has been up to, here's her latest piece. Meet Winifred. She’s a sleepy little bat made of sterling silver with hematite eyes!

Gorgeous, all of them!
She also brought more masks, most in colorful batik fabrics.
