It is a beautiful day here in Hudson. NY. Time passes as we gaze in to the crystal ball helping us see the future. How is it looking from where you are sitting? Right now we are raising money for Spring Tonic. These funds get us from one thing to another thing and while we are thinking of moving from one thing to another thing we are thinking of the future and how to make this place we have built have a future. This is a complex idea but no less daunting than when we first dreamed of such a thing---a long life in the making of art and chaos. This making of theater changed my life and many many other lives along the way. TSL was started in 1973 on the lower east side in New York City in a little store front on Bond Street---I was given a chance to make a little theater and make a performance---I had milk crates for seats and paper and masking tape to make scenery---we had a great show--I directed THE BALD SOPRANO by Eugene Ionesco and then a door opened and I was offered a permanent space in a church Hall at the Universalist Church on 4 West 76th Street and this offered me another opportunity to do more theater and here I directed many performances--here I learned how to use time and space and "found" materials to make my theater--here I learned how to make my own lights for the theater that served my own vision of my theater--doors and more doors continued to open--if you want to know more about the future plans here as we continue to open more doors please reach out...have a nice day!!!! April is a time of renewal---I know hope is a hard road to travel now---but it is what we know best when all seems kind of dark.
