When life gives you rain, dance a Scottish jig!

Due to predicted inclement weather, tonight’s edition of Waterfront Wednesdays is moving indoors to Hudson Hall.

Early music band Ruckus will bring the spirited dance tunes of 18th-century Scotland. There will also be free pizza and all the fun of Waterfront Wednesdays, including the Hudson Juggling Club, knot-tying and microscopes with the Hudson Sloop Club, kids arts and crafts, drumming with the Ujima Community Collective, and even a spot of badminton.

Doors open at 4 PM. Drumming begins at 5 PM. Ruckus performs at 6 PM.

There will be other community member/vendors
No food though.
And Juggling with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus
Hudson Sloop Club will have KNOT TYING

And fun for all!

The Fix-It Picnic: Community Dye Baths at Waterfront Wednesday (Wednesdays, July 15 & August 5)
This summer, we are stepping outside for two special Fix-It Picnics, back at Waterfront Wednesdays! Hang with us by the river and experiment with natural dyes. Bring a white or light-colored piece of natural fabric (cotton, linen, etc.) or clothing to dip in one of our community dye baths (please no heavy jackets, bedding, etc.)

Each drop-in session will also offer plenty of time to work on the sewing, t-shirt weaving, mending, or crafting project of your choice. The LikeMindedObjects team will be on hand with supplies and tools to help develop your skills.

In July, will demonstrate the indigo dye process, explaining how indigo is grown and a little about creating shibori patterns.

In August, the community dye bath will be led by the team.

Catch him at Waterfront Wednesdays on July 15 and August 5, next to Hudson Area Library’s Fix-It Picnic Community Dye Baths. He will be selling his one-of-a-kind Sharpie Art T-shirts. Get one before they’re gone!
