Lauren Weedman returns to Park Theater with her new solo show, I Want the Best for You. The award-winning performer and playwright, known for her role as “The Mayor of Las Vegas” on HBO’s Hacks, takes on aging, loss, family, community, and her own unconventional coming-of-age stories with her signature humor and honesty.

Weedman is the creator of nine solo shows, with a career spanning Off-Broadway theater, television, film, books, and storytelling, including appearances in Euphoria, Abbott Elementary, Arrested Development, and Nobody Wants This.

What happens when music becomes color—and a painting becomes part of the performance?

Join us for Art House Sessions: Canvas & Chords, our monthly series presented in partnership with Open Studio, where the creative process unfolds live on stage.

This month, we're welcoming Derek Bronston & Friends as our musical guests, with Rebecca Titus creating a live piece of art throughout the performance. As the music moves, the canvas responds—building a visual story in real time alongside the sounds filling the theater.

Come experience an evening of music, painting, improvisation, and creative collaboration where there is no separation between artist and audience, sound and image, process and finished work.
