Romeo and Juliet: lite? If such a tragedy can be made comic our stage reading of Romeo and Juliet is meant in that regard. The topic of the play is clearly no joke. We are staging a reading with some absurdist aspects, in order to explore the meaning or, frankly, lack of meaning, that is this incredible work by Shakespeare.

Let us know your thoughts! We look to engage the community with our productions and to celebrate the work and amazing literature that is Shakespeare’s plays.

Many thanks to those who came out tonight to audition for our staged reading of Romeo and Juliet! We have one evening of in-person auditions left, tomorrow at 7pm at Eichelberger Amphitheater.

02/09/2026

We are going to change gears a bit for this year's production. Given some limitations on time, we are going to reduce down our production of Romeo and Juliet to a staged reading. We will still hold auditions, but will do so closer to the June date we will finalize with Huber Heights Parks and Recreation Department. We've been really busy--or in the case of myself, David, suffering with the flu--this entire year.

Join us at the event. We will be selling Smells like Christmas! room spray with a portion of the proceeds going to SitH.
