Racing wheel connected but not actually steering? 🏎️🎮

Before assuming something is broken, check whether your wheel is stuck in controller mode.

In this quick Clarkade tutorial, Mike demonstrates the fix using Gran Turismo 7 on a PlayStation 5:

🔌 Unplug the wheel’s USB from the console
🎮 Hold the PlayStation/Xbox system button
🔌 While continuing to hold the button, plug the USB back in
✅ Release the button and test the wheel again

Once it reconnects in the proper mode, the steering wheel should respond normally.

Mike is demonstrating this on PS5, but the same process can also work with compatible setups on PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.

Save this tutorial in case you ever need it, and send it to somebody whose racing setup is giving them trouble.
