Call to Singers!
Practically in your own back yard is one of the few remaining complete performances of Handel's Messiah, extending back to 1933. But you knew that already.

What makes the annual Hartland performance of Messiah so very special?
Kelli Falls continues as Director of the Hartland Messiah Chorus. Her able leadership has made our community chorus into one of the best in the area.
The vintage 1930s Kilgen pipe organ has completed a $30,000 renovation, restoring this magnificent instrument to its former glory. Played by our own Rick Helderop, one of the premier organists in SE Michigan.
2026 with be our third year with an outstanding string quartet. How did we ever get along without them?
Our venue has always been the historic 1858 Hartland Music Hall with its excellent acoustics. This irreplaceable architectural gem has been our Messiah home since 1933.

2026 will mark the introduction of a vintage harpsichord, played by Dr. Joseph Daniel Hoste.

The fact is that we need more voices. The Hartland Messiah Chorus has numbered only 35 to 40 voices in recent years.

If you have sung with us in the past or have always wanted to sing Handel's most famous oratorio, please consider joining the Hartland Messiah Chorus this fall. The only cost is for the music score (if you need one). There are no tryouts required to sing in the chorus. No age restrictions. Messiah is a great opportunity for high school voices to sing this classic work.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings (7pm) at the Hartland Senior Activities Center (the old high school on M59). The dates are 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30. At the Hartland Music Hall 12/7, 12/9, with the concert on Saturday 12/12.
