The main room has ample seating with a new sectional sofa & matching chairs in the middle lounge and near the kitchenette and side entrance we had a Vintage Ralph Lauren sofa & antique chair reupholstered by 1011 Fabrics in coordinating hydrangea print for another optional seating area. The furniture is comfortable and spacious for everyone to gather around in conversation before and after the meal. When designing The Bloom Cottage we knew a kitchenette was needed but we also didn’t know what exactly that would look like giving it’s an open but intimate space. That’s when my mom found the perfect puzzle piece we were looking for. Something that resembles a piece of furniture and this wet bar from kitchens showroom was just that! Modern, sleek and something completely out of our comfort zone but the mirrored tiled backsplash pulled it all together giving it that vintage look. 👀 Thank you to the staff and delivery team for making our kitchen area the prettiest jewel in the room! 👏🏼✨Photos by: Shi Lessner

We know that any good party involves food + drink! 🥂 In The Bloom Cottage you can bring/ cater your favorites for your own event and use our antique counter as a serving buffet! 🍽️ It’s the perfect place to let guests know exactly where to grab a plate or snack on hors d’oeuvres. The antique counter was originally from a building in Ohio and the “Gourmet Delights” sign was from a restaurant in Jackson, MI. Some of you may even remember the metal awning hanging in our store. Now came the fun part DEMO! The walls & built in came down opening the space back up to how it was originally! While cleaning up the huge mess we made we thought since we’re moving and grooving let’s take down that 30ft pine tree out back! It was making a mess on the roofs and pine needles all in the yard. It was a beautiful sight seeing open clear skies once again. 🙌🏻☁️

Next up was the curb appeal! It needed blooms! We planted over 40 hydrangeas around The Bloom Cottage & courtyard of After removing the old railroad tie box out-front we discovered the sidewalk underneath and thought what can we do to make this corner standout? That’s when the pergola was installed then we put the vintage glider underneath finishing it off with more boxwood bushes planted along the path and now it’s a lovely place to walk thru or sit and watch the cars go by! Also makes for a great photo op 📸

Let’s take it wayyy back from the beginning September 2024 to be exact! It’s been over a year of renovations and what better way to share with y’all the TRANSFORMATION this little “cottage” has made step by step! Truly so much hard work went into building & designing this space exactly how we envisioned it and we can’t wait to show you all the details leading up to the finished results! ✨ This is a walk thru of the BEFORE follow for more to come of the AFTER! 🙌🏻

Welcome friends & followers to our new page The Bloom Cottage! We are a community event place for gatherings, special occasions, bridal/ baby showers, workshops/ classes and small curated markets hosted by us Like Mother Like Daughter Vintage Treasures, LLC. Stay updated on this page for behind the scenes content of the work we’ve put into this project thus far & a future open house date!
