Rec Room Arts “One of Houston’s finest theatre companies.” -Houston Chronicle Rec Room Arts is a professional theatre company in downton Houston.

We believe in producing the powerful art Houston deserves. Our goal is to make theatre a shared pastime in our city — to turn Houstonians on to live performance, to get them out of their houses, off their devices, and into our modest, eclectic space. We offer standby seating every night.

How it works:
Show up to the theatre 30 minutes before showtime on the night you want to attend. Add your name to the standby list. If seats open up, you’re in. It’s first-come, first-served and the theatre gods have been generous.

We believe theatre is an essential public service and cost should never be the reason someone is unable to experience that. That’s why the first Wednesday of every production is our Wednesday Fiver performance: A night where every seat is five dollars.
