2024 starts with some fun and BIG projects. On top of appraisal services, I gained the collections management of several large collections, most notably The City of Houston. Stay tuned as I report on the incredible treasures Houston holds, and your opportunity to view these works in person. -collectionsmgmt -appraisals .

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, New York City, 1988 by Elliot Erwitt (French born American, b. 1928)

Elliott Erwitt has spent a lifetime documenting the United States and his work now stands as a testament to what it means to be American. From grandstanding politicians and celebrity culture to cinematic vistas, Erwitt’s vision of the nation manages to be both unique in perspective and universal in influence. Here, the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. New York City, 1988. Courtesy of

“Encompassing painting, printmaking, watercolor, and drawing, McGee's work explores the interplay between image and text to poignantly situate his practice within larger art historical narratives and generative social critiques.” “Nature Girl” by Bio snippet courtesy of 🖤💚

When appraising art one must look at all the details. Looking closely, one can see this work was once folded in half. Is this considered a condition issue, or inherent in the work’s overall ex*****on? 🧐 Things to consider when appraising a work of art.

Appraising art is one of my favorite services, unfolding the history of the work and its value for a client can be gratifying for all sides.

Detail of Gabriela Hasper. One of my current projects. Life has been insane, and posting my whereabouts is almost impossible at times- I am trying to catalog each moment as a lot has been going on - and a lot more in the works. Business is active, and in flow, I feel grateful about API’s activity and direction. Biggest struggle is social media! 😂 and 😭!! One day I hope to hire someone to do this for me. 😆

Sicardi Ayers and Bacino represents this amazing Argentinian artist in Houston. Definitely go and check out her work - as well as read her full bio on their website.

Well, well well… I’m back! Happy 2023! Upon my arrival, I was greeted with the rude welcome of a full website remodel, or whatever it means when your web guy says, “it doesn’t look good- we need to start over!” So here we go. Fresh new year, fresh new site, and fresh faces will be gracing the API office. I am are excited about the year ahead!!! I am working on a new landing page while the rebuild occurs! Anyone have website/branding professionals they love? I am all ears! In the mean time, I’ve made a resolution to “do this social media thing” and “post” what I do so YOU know - IYKYK. I am notoriously the worst at this, but I made a promise to myself that I will do it once a week at least! 😆 🌈🤍📷 here we gooooo #2023! just back from
