The Ensemble Theatre is launching our 50th Artistic Season with a BRILLIANT, BOLD, and BLISTERING HOT 🥵 new play, ‘PURPOSE’

‘PURPOSE,’ written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and directed by The Ensemble Theatre’s Artistic Director, Eileen J. Morris (Eileen J. Morris ), is the story of the powerful and prominent Jasper family; a family that has both political significance and are faith leaders. In this exploration of family and identity, everything is challenged from beliefs, to relationships, to legacy.

‘PURPOSE’ is winner of the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Drama AND the 2025 Tony Award for Best Play.
