My therapist taught me something that stuck with me: Every time someone does something to you that you don’t like, and you stay silent and continue allowing it, you’re teaching them how to treat you. People can only keep crossing boundaries that you refuse to enforce. So if setting boundaries, speaking up for myself, or removing access makes me the “bad guy”… I’m okay with that. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Because one thing I’m NOT doing anymore is teaching people that disrespecting me comes without consequences. 💯

✔ Show up when life gets hard.

Don’t chase popularity.

Build relationships rooted in honesty, loyalty, and purpose.

Because your circle can either be your greatest investment…
or your greatest limitation.

Choose wisely.

The ugliest side of me is my anger, and honestly, that’s the crazy part because I’m naturally laid-back. I’m calm, I mind my business, and I don’t go looking for problems.

But disrespect me, play with me, or make me feel like I’m being taken for a fool, and something in me switches.

I can go from calm to completely fed up in seconds. I react off emotion and think about it afterward, and that’s something I’m learning to work on.

I’m not proud of that side of me, but I’m honest enough to admit it’s there. I’m learning that protecting my peace doesn’t always mean reacting to every situation that disturbs it.
