Official Statement and Notice Regarding the 2026 Festival Cancellation
This statement has been reviewed and approved by legal counsel prior to its release.
The 2026 festival has been officially canceled.
All ticket holders were fully refunded as of Monday, April 13.
Vendor refunds are currently in process and will be completed in an orderly and timely manner.
Notice Concerning Public Statements
We are issuing this statement in response to recent public communications made by the Liberty County Fire Marshal’s Office regarding the festival. Those communications contain statements that are inaccurate, misleading, and not supported by the documented record.
Contrary to claims that have been publicly circulated:
1. The festival did not have any contracted sponsors. The event was solely financed by its owner.
2. The permitting process was, in fact, initiated. The owner began the application through the appropriate system and engaged in direct communication during that process. Documentation, including electronic confirmations and correspondence, exists to substantiate this.
3. All performing artists were secured through fully executed contracts, which are maintained on file and can be produced if necessary.
4. No legal action has been initiated against the festival by any veteran organization. One organization was previously contracted, and that agreement was terminated for unrelated reasons.
Additionally, statements regarding communication efforts by the Fire Marshal’s Office are disputed by the owner.
Based on information received during the course of the permitting process, there was a reasonable belief that approval would not be granted. In light of these circumstances, the decision was made to cancel the event.

The publication and dissemination of inaccurate or misleading information that may adversely impact the reputation, operations, and contractual relationships of the festival is a matter we take seriously.
Accordingly, all rights, claims, and remedies are expressly reserved.
We formally request that any inaccurate statements be corrected and that future communications regarding this matter reflect verified and supportable information. All relevant documentation and records have been preserved.

We remain willing to engage in direct, professional communication to address this matter. However, we will take all appropriate steps necessary to protect our interests, partners, and the integrity of the event.
