I can only speak about my own experiences and the results I have seen in so many people through the years of teaching dance lessons to a variety of people in Houston. When I first began my training to become a teacher I was an introvert and a very, very shy person. I had so much to overcome that it was difficult to see myself otherwise. Because of the training in ballroom dancing, I began to develop increased levels of confidence and an outgoing personality, and I was having fun. Through the years, I have had many students of different personalities and abilities, but I discovered the benefits remain the same. I always paid special attention to those students like myself in the beginning who lack confidence, shy and terrified of dancing with someone. But with a small group of lessons you begin to see the confidence increasing in yourself and the social assurance begin to show. Music and dance training will bring out the passion in every human being.
